This hand knotted mala is made from 108 light brown Sandalwood beads. In ancient Buddhist tradition, the warm, calming aroma of Sandalwood was believed to stimulate self awareness and invoke states of deep relaxation when used during meditation. Sandalwood stimulates the Root Chakra, and by extension connects us to the earth – body and soul. The mala also features a bold black tassel. Black is the color of darkness and mystery, and it is thought to ward off evil spirits. In rural Tibetan Buddhist communities, the people wear black clothing and robes and paint the frames of windows black to bring good luck. Wear this mala to venture deep into your soul and block negative energy from entering your life.
