$19.00
Tibetan Buddhist Wind Horse Prayer Flags are hung to promote compassion, peace, strength, and wisdom. They are believed to carry prayers and mantras through the wind. You will often find them hung at temples, monasteries and stupas as well as along trails and peaks high in the Himalayas, like Mount Everest.
These horizontal flags are called lungta, Tibetan for "wind horse". This set has 25 prayer flags strung together. Each flag is 8" x 7.5". The total length of the strand is 187.5". The dyed fabric has frayed edges and is woodblock-printed with text and images. The five colors represent the elements: White (air/wind), Red (fire), Green (water) Yellow (earth) and Blue (sky/space). Made in Nepal.
